Marina Fernandes’s Blog was my second freelance project, undertaken in early 2018. In this case, however, the client opted for an upfront payment model to cover the website’s development and training, along with a monthly retainer that served as a kind of insurance. Consequently, she requested the autonomy to make changes to the site herself, and I trained her on how to do so.

Because of this arrangement, I wasn’t able to explore indirect user contact as much as I would have liked. As a result, the current live website has undergone modifications that differ from the originally envisioned design. As with my other freelance projects, I conducted a benchmarking study to identify patterns among similar blogs and determine which practices should be adopted for this specific context.

As with all the websites I built during that period, I used WordPress to develop this one. Since it is primarily a blog, it was the ideal tool, allowing me to build the site in a lightweight and practical way so the client could have full autonomy over her platform
